First 80% were good, final 20% ruined it. The protagonists breakdown in the end was terribly scripted / acted, too, and rather funny than dramatic.

Absolutely oozing with atmosphere, like the heavy humid weather of Louisiana 1955, where everyone seems to die of some horrific death in connection with this mysterious case. Although incredibly predictable, this story will keep you in its grasps until the very end.

Not my cup of tea. Felt dated, languid. Good actors and good locations but just didn't settle with me at any point. 5/10
