Very well done, slow adventure monster hunt. Perfectly captures the period with costumes, design, locations.. everything really. Pleasantly surprised!
Great film based on the legend of the Beast of Gevaudan. Dialog, story, characters, score all top notch. A bit dated and low budget with some poor cgi at times but not enough to ruin this great little movie. Love how de Fronsac is a naturalist and stays on the sidelines until Mani’s death puts him on a rampage... and Monica Belucci is incredible: “Trop tard…”
I am in the first 20 minutes and I can say that it is a very good movie, I cannot believe that I waited several years to see this gem from the early 2000s.
Mark Dacascos steals the show, so it isn’t as good when he isn’t in it. Since he also had the more interesting character.
