This is a fun, inspiring family movie. My kids absolutely loved it and it's even more exciting knowing that it's a real story. There are even live webcams where you can go and see the real dolphin online. Yes, it's predictable and a bit cheesy but that doesn't take away from the power of the story and how it moves you.
I used to see this movie when it aired on TV like 2012 or so and that got me interested in dolphins as a kid. It’s a heartwarming story that is based off of a real life dolphin Winter that also starred in the movie. It’s made for kids so yeah some humor might not appeal to adults and tends to get boring when we not around Winter scene. Mark Isham score is just pretty good and that opening music is damn cool. Nathan Gamble does good job in his performance as Sawyer and seeing Morgan Freeman here is not much of a surprise.
A nice modern fairytale for the whole family.
