I can't believe how badly the two main characters are written. Almost everything they do or decide feels dumb or annoying. The film looks great, and the actors try their best with what they've got, but sadly, that's not enough to make the movie better.

Great idea, but a bad script, and terrible actors. The characters are inconsistent, and stupid, so as much as you try to get into it it's a real struggle to care. But if you want to watch two people read lines, badly, as they literally drive into the obvious outcome ahead, this movie's for you! At a certain point the acting doesn't matter, the subject matter is good and strong enough to drag the actors through, and is perfect for a movie where you're tired and paying half attention to.

Sometimes as arduous as the outback itself, though the film is well made and not without tension.
