50 years ago, I can remember the excitement of people watching this in a movie theatre, in a time before special effects and CGI, when there were some really big movie stars (Steve McQueen, but also O J Simpson is here), and movies like this were "an event" so (almost) 3 hours made it even more special But those times are gone, the period of epic disaster movies is over, and the world has changed My advice would be to skip this unless you are an enthusiast of the period of genre

This was in its time a good movie with great special effects, today it’s dated

3 hours is far too long.

Must see member of the 70s disaster movies.
