Great gangster movie. I love how subtly and deftly it keeps you guessing if Mikey is really on Nicky's side. Their friendship seems very real, but over time, a relationship with a person is in constant flux. True friends will always find that common ground, but things still need to change, and the good old days may be over. A fair share of existential themes. Raw, handheld shooting style. Unfortunately, it comes across a bit trashy and nihilistic depending on how you see it, while the ending didn’t quite land.
