Following my newfound respect for Korean media and Park Eun-Bin’s filmography, I found this 2023 movie. It is rare to find a movie told from the perspective of national pride that isn’t American. This story is a cinematic interpretation of how Korean athletes, while still not consider a nation after their occupation by the Japanese in WW2, ended up at the Boston Marathon in 1947. I found it very interesting and an endearing representation of the Korean spirit and desire for autonomy. Eun-bin has a very small part but (and my predisposition may be showing here) every time she is on screen, she shines. I give this film a 7 (good) out of 10. [Based on a True Story Drama]
