[FF Gent] The ambiguity of the proposal manages to keep the tension constant throughout the film. That contradictory feeling between being a victim of xenophobia or suffering from a paranoia that causes continuous defense, even if no one intends to attack him, builds a complex character. Although there is a certain tendency to formal repetition (that continuous walk through the corridors), this contributes to creating a claustrophobic effect. It is one of the most intelligent films about the feeling of being a foreigner, about the difficulty of assuming one's own identity.
