stiffer than a morning cartoon. I'll ratter brush my teeth and drink OJj than watch this again. 3/10
Is the movie enjoyable? Yes. Could it have been better? Also, yes. With such a great cast like this, I expected something wayyy better!
Holy shit this was great!!! The cast was excellent in this 😂😂👏👏 This was a nice treat of chaos
While Allison Janney is game as always, her performance isn’t enough to save the film from its own derivative nature. Despite the talented ensemble cast and a premise ripe for dark satire, the movie struggles to find a consistent tone, ultimately feeling like a diluted imitation of a Coen Brothers classic. As much as Janney tries, this doesn’t rise above being a fairly forgettable Fargo wannabe that misses the mark on both the suspense and the wit it strives so hard to replicate.
A great crime comedy, with a loaded cast. I was pleasantly surprised by this, as I was just looking for another Awkwafina movie; lucky me, she's in it a lot. The story follows Sue Buttons - a sweet, passive, almost pathetic character - as she steps into a world of chaos that quickly gets out of control. I'd say that the humor runs more on the subtle side, but I did laugh pretty hard in one scene. Another detail to keep in mind is that this is still an R-rated crime movie, so we do get a fair amount of blood, and even a boob - just one. I totally recommend this, so if you're a fan of crime comedies like _Raising Arizona_ (1987) or _Masterminds_ (2016), check it out. Awkwafina is amazing, of course. I'd watch this again just for her.
