Another mediocre Subspecies movie. This one does feel different from the first one, in the sense that it's more like a giallo where the villain is a vampire. There are good moments, like the practical effects - including one that must have been a nod to _The Thing_ (1982) - the overall mood and tone. If nothing else, this film really captured the spooky vibe. The major problem here is there just isn't much of a plot. If you've seen any vampire movie, you'll not be surprised by this one. Anyway, enough of that. I'm going to highlight my two favorite parts of this: 1. Some nice nudity from the Morgan sisters; it's not much, but it's still notable. 2. We get a big chunk of time with a thrash band called 13 Ghosts - they don't seem to be a real band, and I can't find the two songs they play anywhere - sounding like a mix between early White Zombie, and Metallica, it's a pity they aren't an actual group with at least one album. I can't recommend the movie itself, unless you're looking for some cheesy, modern-gothic Full Moon horror.
