The origin of the Frankenstein character. Not nearly as good as the first one with Jason Statham but not a bad way to kill an evening. This would actually be considered a prequel to the original but - to me - it makes more sense to watch them in the order they were produced. The acting seemed to be more stiff, more "forced" in this one which was a minor detraction but still... I had forgotten the conclusion to this one but I would say the conclusion alone merits watching the rest of the film. Turn off your brain, kick back, and enjoy this one.
you want to watch this part before death race. otherwise you get spoiled before this one
This movie is a pre-sequel for Death Race (first movie), that said, and it’s a “okay” movie. Actors are quite bad and the story is not awesome. The plot “twist” is quite obvious and the ending, well, you will have to watch it. But I like that they gave a lot of context about how Death Race started, so that was good.
I wouldn’t really call this movie a sequel. I think they realized the mistake of not giving the first Death Race enough backstory and decided to fix that here — and honestly, I liked that decision. To enjoy it properly, you’ve got to see this one as the real beginning of the story, and then everything makes a lot more sense. That said, it’s a great movie for what it sets out to be. I’d watched it before but didn’t remember the ending, and I was pleasantly surprised this time around. The conclusion was satisfying and left a solid setup for the next film. If you’re after action, blood, cars, explosions, and gunfire, you’ll find plenty of that here.
Why no Xbox game for this franchise
