Synopsis
L'histoire vraie du sergent américain Charles Monroe King, mort à Bagdad en octobre 2006, un mois avant la fin de son service militaire. Il y tient un journal intime destiné à son fils, né après son départ pour l'Irak, dans lequel il se confie et le prépare à vivre sans père.

"And the Tony Award for best kiss goes to..." Michael B Jordan is a legend. Chante Adams should be in more films. Great story.

Earns an extra star for Jordan's believable and sensitive performance but the film as a whole is a misfire. The love story between Charles and Dana took precedence over the journal and while there will be some who won't mind this, for me the relationship drama was marred by Dana's irritating and one-note character and the mawkish script.. Disappointing.
