At the holidays we tend to look for movies that have a little bit of syrup without tilting too much into Hallmark land. I have to admit - in the first ten minutes I almost ejected because it looked like it was going to be over-the-top schlock. Eventually it evened out a bit and fell into a traditional story about people who don't want to get hurt. I can see that - while grading on a Christmas movie scale - this wasn't too bad. If you want a good laugh go read the reviews submitted by several hens on Amazon. They gave the film one star because in one scene they referenced male anatomy. Because in a movie about grownups and made for grownups that is on some level shameful (slapping forehead).
