Some cool imagery, decent premise, stupid title, and poetic justice. Glad I gave it a watch!

the mixture of my increased appreciation for found footage in somewhat recent years with the pleasant reception from my treasured mutuals had my hopes pretty high. unfortunately, i was left thinking this was vaguely passable more than anything. Gavin York was honestly just really annoying and wasn't helping anything as the center of things, sorry. i do think the layered approach where one is left wondering what, if anything at all was real might have been executed better here than other found footage fare along these lines and the Peeping Tom was spooky enough so it wasn't completely hopeless. i guess i just expected a bit more. could see this moving into place for me upon a revisit so i'll be back eventually.

The film skillfully interweaves two distinct focuses: the first is the amateur footage, which seeks to portray the existence of an urban legend; the second is the person who found these recordings and tries to finish the project, while justifying the veracity of the images. As the story unfolds, there are disputes and debates that enrich the plot. It's an intriguing, curious and bizarre film that stands out for its attempt to deconstruct its own style. It's very interesting to watch.
