The decline of modern cinema in 90 mins. Is this for kids or grownups? The sex, violence and f-bombs suggest the latter but the "plot", "dialogue" and cartoonish characters suggests otherwise. Why do all these military expert-cum-martial arts masters go into battle dressed like they're in a hip hop video? And by that I mean the men are in leather jackets, vests and "bling", while the women are dressed like prostitutes. The main female characters are anyway. The female extras _are_ prostitutes. Garbage all round.
Terrible movie. Terrible acting. Terrible stunts. Terrible sequel. Terrible logic. Terrbile plot. Terrible.
Overdone plot, a bunch of useless characters, and an abundance of cringey dialogue. Some of VIN Diesel's stunts are pretty cool though
Holy crap it was bad! How come this was not up for a Razzie Award ? Horrible plot and abysmal dialogues
"Rock, paper, scissors, grenade launcher." xXx: Return of Xander Cage is just one fun fun fun film. Any film starring Donnie Yen gets a plus for me. Mix it up with goofy Vin Diesel, Tony Jaa, badass Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev the tech-geek, kumquat, the Hound, it takes two flushes, the ridiculous set pieces, Vin Diesel's fur coat, Samuel L. Jackson is still the best spy boss, Ice Cube!, that car you've seen before and the reading between the lines. xXx: Return of Xander Cage was a fun rewatch and will probably still be fun the next time I decide to watch this. A sequel being in the works for a couple of years has me excited and hopefully continues the trend to not take itself so seriously. And let us all be happy that Neymar didn't roll around pretending to be hurt!
