Lowlife stands out thanks to its tight, non-linear, multi-perspective structure. Director Ryan Prows uses these clever narrative tricks to weave disjointed timelines, successfully elevating a standard grindhouse crime story. The film features very memorable, surprisingly complex characters, especially the Luchador - an ordinary man stuck in the role of a folk hero. Ultimately, the film felt like it wasn't for me, but I highly appreciate the craft.

I watched this film at the suggestion of someone who said that Teddy was one of the best modern day villains, and I heartily agree. This film combines violence, horror and humour and it is certainly not for everyone. I recommend you to give it a try though, you might find yourself in love with this crazy movie.

I’m not sure where the love for this movie comes from. I found it slow and sort of boring. It has a couple of decent moments and the end almoooost makes it a good movie. It’s legit the best part, but still doesn’t pull it together. It’s basically a Tarantino-esque horror movie with 1/10 the charm.
