_Entanglement_ starts as a drama, then turns into a romantic comedy, then goes off the rails. Put simple, [spoiler]this is the _Fight Club_ (1999) of indie comedies.[/spoiler] We're following our lead, Ben, who is processing a breakup. The movie could have simple been another love story, but there is an added element where it looks at the chaos of life and how several events have to click into place to lead to an outcome. How different would your life have been if you added or subtracted one component? The movie takes the hypothetical and makes it interesting. That being said, the Hanna reveal kind of lost me; just a bit out of place, but didn't ruin the film. Overall, pretty good. I'd recommend this to fans of indie romance, but only if you're okay with some weirdness.

A little predictable in its telling - for me anyway - but Middleditch is an engaging lead, and the film is enjoyable and thought provoking.
