Synopsis
Lors d'une fête étudiante, Mariam, jeune Tunisienne, croise le regard de Youssef. Quelques heures plus tard, Mariam erre dans la rue en état de choc. Commence pour elle une longue nuit durant laquelle elle va devoir lutter pour le respect de ses droits et de sa dignité. Mais comment peut-on obtenir justice quand celle-ci se trouve du côté des bourreaux ?

Tunisian drama Aala Kaf Ifrit / Beauty and the Dogs is the dramatized true story of a young woman raped by two policemen. The action is set the night of the attack and details all of the tribulations (both physical and psychological) she must face to officially declare the crime. Fuck. Me. I wish this film hadn't been so well made, that way it might not have affected me so much. This movie is guttural, demanding, and draining - with more tension than any horror film you'll see this season.
