Synopsis
Un documentaire hybride unique qui raconte l’histoire vraie, plus étrange que la fiction, de George Lazenby, un mécanicien automobile australien qui, grâce à un ensemble de circonstances incroyables, a décroché le rôle de James Bond dans « Au service secret de Sa Majesté » (1969), bien qu’il n’ait aucune expérience de comédien. Mais alors qu’il s’est vu proposer de garder le rôle dans les six films suivants, avec une prime à la signature d’un million de dollars, il a tout refusé…

George Lazenby was the worst James Bond - OHMSS could have been a better movie without him. And yet...after seeing this documentary, I have a newfound respect for the man himself. Heck, I even like him, and admire his decision to step down from the role, good actor or not. Utterly fascinating, and a compelling insight behind the scenes into his part in the Bond universe.

Great fun movie. I don't like His Bond movie but I have great admiration and respect for him for saying no to all the fame, money and glory. Rebelling and showing up with a beard for his interviews is a prime example of rejecting the system. It's just such a great classic story people who have the power to reject all that. Overall I'm also glad Roger Moore became Bond but that is not this story.

I LOVED this movie...from begining to end it was funny and it was unbelievable how he landed the gig. Highly recommend.
