I introduced my girlfriend to this for my next livestream where we’ll be discussing this movie. This is such a perfect movie for me. It’s heartbreaking, gut-wrenching but repairs you as it goes. I love the entire cast of characters from top to bottom. I love the story and the way things progress. It’s perfectly directed and perfectly acted. The score is absolutely beautiful. It’s hard to get much better than this.

Considine is terrific as an ex-boxer suffering with brain damage, but kudos should also go to Whittaker, who matches him with sheer heartbreaking intensity in her performance. A fabulous film, and a reminder (I hope) to many, that boxing is a very dangerous sport, and should (in my opinion) be banned.

That was a good fight with a strong heartwarming plot with a good performance as always from (paddy)
