This was exactly what I hoped it would be. A great story with a little bit of mystery and a mix of the paranormal and religious. As others have mentioned, Jonathan Rhys Meyers does a fantastic job with each personality.
The last shot is perfect. Exactly what I expected, but perfect.
Although the story does not have much news, I liked it! Jonathan's acting is impeccable! Look!
An initially brilliant psychological thriller that starts a tense, engaging debate between science and belief, only to completely lose the plot. Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are electric in a captivating first half, but when the film suddenly pivots from identity disorder mystery to witch-cult folklore, the logic derails. The story accumulates so many confusing, messy supernatural answers that it squanders all the goodwill and suspense it meticulously built up. Highly engaging, utterly baffling, and deeply unsatisfying. Great performances can’t save a mystery that refuses to play fair. This mystery horror is cursed of poor screenwriting.
Shelter (6 Souls) (2010) - ❤x6 This is a good, captivating story and actually intriguing. Although I still have no clue why or how
he picked his victims
. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
The mix of psychiatry and paranormal phenomena turned out quite well. Jonathan Rhys Meyers overshadowed Julianne Moore with his creation.
