TL;DR: Waste of time. The writing is mediocre and direction just feels off. The way it was filmed makes it look like they were only going for nice cinematic shots instead of a compelling story about some apocalypse. [spoiler]The added "art pieces" were pointless and contributed nothing to the movie. Again as the cinematic shots, it appears as though they were trying to make something "artistic". It seems like the director is trying to get some nominations/awards in because his story is actually worthless. It's weird and it didn't make sense. I liked the ending though but literally only because I saw the beginning. Yes, I liked the reappearance of raceguy.[/spoiler] [spoiler]Honestly, the worst part was when the little girl walked on the bucket. She saw the bucket, went astray and then stepped on it. It makes me cringe just thinking about it. How did this movie win an award?[/spoiler]

Very boring and too pretentious in the approach of characters. Completely expendable

The BEST zombie film I have seen in a while. Yes, it has a semi-artful approach, but it doesn't stint on the creepiness or the gore. While it's not particularly scary - how many horror films are these days? - it is at least a little inventive with its take on this well-worn genre. By the end, I was hungry for more!

I really wanted to like this. I was highly anticipating it, and it looked absolutely awesome. Unfortunately, while the score is very appropriate and the cinematography is beautiful, there's no other reason to watch this. There's no plot. No character development. There no reasoning for anything they do or for what happens. There is a lot of silence, standing around, and making bad choices, though. Honestly, a huge disappointment for me.
