It's so ridiculous. I love it.
Yet another sequel and more absurdity. These movies are still awful, but they are enjoyable. Seeing somewhat big actors making all of these cameos is quite the delight. It is still not something near recommending, but these movies are doing what they want and that is commendable at a minimum. Rating: 0.5/5 - 45% - Skip
These movies are still so strange that I still like them.
The jokes are surprisingly not all terrible, but when the kitsch is intentional, it loses its charm. That said, this one isn't as loathsome as #3.
At least the first one was a concept. Ridiculous, sure, but there was an idea, and they thought, "how can we seriously make some kind of movie around that ?". That was fun. This time it's just a cut and paste of the most stupid things they could think about. What do you want ? Water, fire, thunder, a redneck chainsaw family, nuclear, a cybord, a lightsaber ? Yep, everything is in it. It's probably what you would get if the movie was directed by a five year old playing in a sandbox. You think that what happens in Sharknado is ridiculous and totally impossible ? Well everything that happens in this one is a whole other level of stupidly ridiculous **even if you accept the first movie as normal and realistic**. Actually that's it. This is what Sharknado 1 would have looked like in a world where sharknadoes and people chainsawing sharks out of the sky are accepted daily normal occurences. So yeah, the concept and ideas are way too over the top. But what about the movie itself. Well, it's not a movie, more a cut and paste montage of fifteen seconds shots that are over exaggerated remixes of what worked in the first one, interspersed with the same (or worse) cheesy one liners. There's no story or logical relations between scenes. I can't say they are not some funny pieces here and there, but not enough to make a 3 minutes montage.
