Synopsis
Trois courts métrages réalisés par ces mêmes noms qui ont apporté Metropolis, Ninja Scroll, et Akira. Tout commence avec « Labyrinthe labyrinthus », l'histoire d'un labyrinthe dans l'esprit d'un enfant, réalisé par Rintarou. Ensuite Yoshiaki Kawajiri nous donne « Running Man ». Il s'agit d'une course de formule futuriste on est mis sur une piste mortelle. Enfin Katsuhiro Ootomo décrit une lutte pour arrêter une installation entièrement automatisée dans « Ordre d'abandonner la construction ».

This is a prime example of the kind of 'style over substance' that can only be achieved through animation. What these shorts lack in narrative depth, they make up for through excellent use of colours, art direction, and embracement of both the grounded and abstract elements of the sci-fi genre. While overall not as good as similar anthologies from the time, it holds its weight well, with Running Man being particularly iconic.
