Synopsis
Jack, un jeune adolescent solitaire et marginal, vit avec sa mère Karen dans une petite ville des États-Unis. Sa vie change le jour où Mark, le fils du nouveau compagnon de Karen, fait irruption dans sa vie. Les deux adolescents tissent alors une relation intense et font la rencontre de Sarah, avec qui ils deviennent vite un trio inséparable.

ugh, this movie! i loved it dearly, and it had such an impact on me, but i think it could be a lot better if they tried more. especially if they showed us more of the actual relationship and the pain between mark and jake. and the fact that they could give us so much more than this always hunts me.

This movie didn't seem able to decide what it wanted to be. The script was really ambiguous, a feeling only strengthened by the ending of the film. I wish that they had focused more on the struggle between Jack and Mark, instead of trying to be something that it ultimately wasn't.
