Synopsis
Jackie Burke est un célèbre humoriste. Alors qu'il tente de se réinventer, son public ne veut le voir que dans la peau du personnage qu'il incarnait jadis à la télévision. Lors d'un de ses shows, il s'en prend violemment à un membre du public. Jackie est condamné à du travail d'intérêt général, notamment à la soupe populaire. Il y fait la rencontre de Harmony Schiltz.

I enjoyed this film, I did feel like it was a little slow but it's worth a watch if you don't have much to do in the day. [spoiler] My favourite bit has to be the ending when the kid is on stage preforming comedy and start swearing. :D [/spoiler]

Trivia: De Niro has been trying to make this movie for 8 years. Why? Even the jokes (or the stand up comedy, if you like) are not that funny. I wonder what the originally draft of this movie was like with Sean Penn on board to direct. The thing that gave De Niro the desire to make this movie, however with his recent work, his decisions are becoming more questionable.

What a great cast. The plot is secondary, De Niro’s performance is outstanding and was so funny and enjoyable.
