Dans les années 50, l'histoire mouvementée d'un écrivain dispersé entre sa vie familiale, son travail et ses rendez-vous avec les nombreuses maîtresses qu'il entretient.

• A must-watch for men having extramarital affairs; it portrays that the release of happiness-inducing hormones like dopamine is short-lived, while pain is the eternal truth of life. • In the latter part, Keiko Matsuzaka's role feels out of sync with the atmosphere of the first half. Upon checking, it turns out this part of the story was added by Shinji Amane, reflecting how much he admires Keiko Matsuzaka. • Both the TV series and the film adaptation based on the original novel have Emiko Harada playing Keiko's role, which is quite rare. • Seeing the youthful and beautiful bodies of these morally upright elderly ladies now, I can't help but feel embarrassed.
