Synopsis
Adapté de la pièce de théâtre éponyme de Jean-Luc Lagarce, le film raconte l’après-midi en famille d’un jeune auteur qui, après 12 ans d’absence, retourne dans son village natal afin d’annoncer aux siens sa mort prochaine.

A great cast and a great director meanwhile the story was boring. Or I just don’t get Dolan’s movies, I don’t know, but it was kind of a waste of time for me.

A beautiful film showing how the choices you make have consequences apart from the initial joys. Great acting from everyone and especially Vincent Cassel.

This movie stressed me out a lot. The actors were great and the atmosphere was very tense but it did kind of bore me at times. It was an interesting movie though.

xavier Dolan once again proving what a wonderkid of a writer/director he is. A really engaging script and a fine performance from Vincent Cassel, who I've never really rated that highly before. Dysfunctional family life and the inability to communciate properly is at the core of the movie but also unconditional love. Dolan's ability to create tension between characters on screen is remarkable.
