It's fair. But it's hard to see Will Smith on this kind of character. Probably it's just me who like to see Mr. Smith doing bad a** things :)

Great movie. Every football fan should watch this. David vs Goliath irl.

Another fantastic acting job by Will Smith. Worth watching if you are in the mood for a good drama.

★★★☆☆ (3/5) A serious, message-driven drama with an important real-life story at its center. Will Smith gives a committed and restrained performance, bringing quiet intensity to the role. The film is informative and well-intentioned, though it follows a fairly conventional biopic structure. Solid and respectful, even if it doesn’t dig as deep as it could.

The story is a story that needed to be told and this movies tells it Ok. Though I believe that Will Smith is not the perfect cast for the role, he does Ok. He thus regularly losses and then finds again his African accent and does not always feel believable as the ambitious but submissive immigrant. The movie does also illustrate a typical case of corruption and capitalism over people in the American everyday system, be it in sports, healthcare or politics. A good movie, even if not perfect.
