Spectacular and charming musical. I enjoyed most of the songs, even the intentionally annoying ones, though by the end I do wish maybe there was one or two less frivolous numbers. Tons of funny moments even without any without any knowledge of musical history though I could feel there were plenty of nods and references. Twiggy is so beautiful in this movie that it's a little unbelievable that glasses and a cockney accent kept Polly off the stage.

it's a show-stopping spectacle with lots of style, but it sure does lack in substance. after over an hour, I needed something more to keep me engaged, I checked out half way through. the Pierrette and Pierrot number close to the end was absolutely gorgeous, tho.
