[7.25/10] At first, _Gods & Monsters_ was completely engaging. I thought it was on it's way to a 9/10 rating from me, but as it went on, the story took some turns and I found myself less invested, which knocked it down a bit. That said, I still think it’s a fairly fascinating story. One of the things I appreciated most was the interplay and balance between surrealism and realism throughout. Even though I didn’t completely love it, I walked away intrigued by the real-life story of James Whale. Watching this has made me want to learn more about his life and check out some of his films, so I do feel that this movie made a notable impact!
I can't fully explain why I liked this movie, but I did. Interesting characters, and I like how they portrayed a friendship between two people that are otherwise opposites.
