Oddly satisfying and enjoyable early Christmas slasher that must have been an influence to _Black Christmas_. There's not much splatter but it drips with chilling atmosphere. The sepia tone flashbacks are super lengthy but effectively creepy. The bleak winter setting is also very effective and the fact that the print I watched looks grainy and washed out gives extra grimness to the whole experience.
