I like the concept and the movie is watchable but it could've been better.

Chris Evans and Michelle Monaghan star in the quirky romantic comedy _Playing It Cool_. The story follows a struggling screenwriter who falls for a young woman at a charity gala and attempts to formulate a friend that soon grows into something more. Evans and Monaghan have good chemistry together and handle the comedy quite well. However, most of the jokes are hit and miss; particularly the reoccurring gag of Evans imagining himself in the stories that people tell him. Additionally, a lot of the characters are underdeveloped; which hurts the plot. While it delivers some laughs, overall _Playing It Cool_ is a rather formulaic and uninspired comedy.

This is a strange movie. Christmas Evans is really different when he doesn't play Captain America. His films are emotional and in a way that does not feel forced hit you right in the heart. I loved this movie. The first time....I wasn't sure...years after...2025 ....I am sure. Give it a chance. All the actors are great btw...Cgris Evans Michelle Monaghan Topher Grace Anthony Mackie (His marvel co star in captain america) Luke Wilson...and if you do see it....think...who do you really want on this boat with you?

Fun and quirky romantic comedy. Evans and Monaghan play off each other well. Evans is such a great lead. Good supporting cast as well full of stars you'd at least recognise. I've seen some boring rom coms lately. This wasn't one of them.
