Not a diary I will be opening again. Its a well made film with some nifty animation sequences. However, the personal growth of the leading character is forced and not particularly interesting, in my opinion as a non-teenage girl.

Coming of age story of a 15 year old in the 70s. The fact that she was 15 and he was 35! I'm 35. It was hard to watch. There was many explicit sex scenes. I rated it as such due to the confessional like internal dialogue. Wouldn't watch again though. One of my least favorite roles ever played by Alexander Skarsgård.

I saw a few that mixed film with illustrations this one by far actually made it work, directed and written marvelously by Marielle Heller
