I have no patience for art movies.
Like a movie made by art students. Seemingly deep and meaningful, it kept me engrossed wondering when the hidden truths would be revealed
but no, i wreally was just all show with no depth
. Ultimately, it was a waste of time. Like a beauitful looking meal that tastes like gruel, I even watched the credits for an endscene where something more obvious would be revealed, but no, nothing. Ultiumately, an unsatisfying 100 minutes of something that showed promise but took too long to not deliver it
Didn't enjoy it from the go. It tries to be profound with visuals yet it's like watching a slide show of effects for effects sake. The dialogue was hammy and carried zero emotional weight at times. Why bother. I know it's indie but it seemed to be made with passion yet with little writing skill. Some indie movie makers get all visual to be arty.
The story was fantastic! Unfortunately, the quality was inconsistent throughout the film. Some scenes were very well designed, others were poorly thought out or implemented. Editing was very choppy in some scenes.
Great movie!
