It starts off interestingly enough, with an opening match between Val Venis (still gotta love that name/spelling LOL) facing European Champion D'Lo Brown. The match was actually much better than anything I was expecting but wow, what an absolutely awful ending to a match. I think it would've been less disappointing (and certainly more expected) if someone from "The Nation of Domination" had come out and interfered than with the ending they wrote into this one. Next up, another match that I simply can't watch: some stupid tagteam match between three giants (almost literally) against three of the smallest guys in the WWF. One of those Japanese tag-teams that I can't pronounce (or understand) their names, and although they're very acrobatic, it's as hard to take them seriously as midget wrestling. The whole match was ridiculous and hard to sit through. Next up, yet another match that I have less-than-zero interest in: a "hair-vs-hair" match between Jeff Jarrett vs. Sean Waltman. Time to fast-forward through this one....although I can _at least_ give Jeff Jarrett credit for playing his character well enough to evoke some strong dislike in me. Waltman, on the other hand, just can't be taken seriously: he's too small to be taken seriously as any kind of "athlete", especially a pro wrestler. Next on the menu is an interview with "The Rock" (Dwayne Johnson) and I have to admit, I love his interviews; he's absolutely hilarious, even early in his career. After this hilarious spot with "The Rock", it's the mixed-tag match between Marc Mero & Jacquelyn vs Sable and the introduction of "Edge" (Adam Copeland). Edge has "appeared" sitting in the stands at various events, but this was apparently his introduction (at the very least, his PPV introduction) to the WWF. This was a highly entertaining match, well done on the part of all four athletes. Maybe the best match on the card.... and "good ol' JR" Jim Ross at the end of the match: _"How many men would volunteer to be Marc Mero right now?"_ LOL That was awesome. You haveta watch the match to get it but yeah, that was classic! Now we have an interview with "Mankind" (one of the multiple characters played by Mick Foley) Next up: the "Lion's Den" match between Ken Shamrock vs Owen Hart in an actual octagon "cage". For these two combatants, this was actually a pretty entertaining match, with a bit of an unexpected conclusion. Following this was a match for the WWF tag-team championship; this was actually something of a "handicap match" as "Mankind" (Mick Foley) was forced to take on the "New Age Outlaws" singlehandedly when his partner "Kane" didn't show. Next, yet another match between "The Rock" (Dwayne Johnson) vs "Triple H" (Paul Levesque) in a "Ladder Match". (Seems like there were several "specialty" matches on this particular card.) And just like their previous match, this too _could have_ been a superb match between these two athletes; both are great performers, and the match itself was a great match. It didn't need the interference that you've come to expect whenever a "De-Generation X" member is involved in a match. But of course... Finally we come to the "Main Event" - the match between Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Undertaker for the heavyweight championship. It was another great match between two incredible performers and well worth watching. Kind of an unexpected ending but definitely one of (if not THE) best matches on the entire card.
