Synopsis
Parmi les décombres d'une bataille, une enfant cherche de quoi se vêtir et se sustenter. Sorti de nulle part, un autre enfant vêtu d'une armure la piège et lui fait un chantage. Elle parvient à s'en défaire mais dans sa fuite perd son précieux butin. Une déesse apparaît alors et lui restitue son bien ; en échange elle exige cependant de la jeune fille un choix crucial.

Still one of my favourite chinese fairytales even if it's been ripped to shreds elsewhere. Yes, some of the CGI, esp. in the beginning, may be incredibly bad but there are such beautiful and imaginative scenes in this movie that might take your breath away. After rewatching it today I still believe that besides all it's flaws it's just an entertaining and mesmerizing picture.
