Synopsis
Laura Baxter est atteinte d'un mal étrange appelé "parasomnie" l'ayant contrainte à passer la majeure partie de sa vie plongée dans le sommeil, ne se réveillant qu'en de rares occasions. Quand le jeune étudiant Danny Sloan la découvre dans sa chambre d'hôpital, ils tombent immédiatement amoureux et le garçon aide sa bien-aimée à fuir. Ce qu'ils ne savent pas, c'est que dans une chambre voisine réside Byron Volpe. Un dangereux criminel, assassin impitoyable et versé dans les sciences occultes, qui s'apprête à forcer l'entrée des rêves de Laura...

Parasomnia (the condition, not the film) is a decently interesting concept you could delve into from all sorts of ethical and philosophical angles, but this film abandons that for a confusing romp that can't decide if it wants to be Hellraiser-style nightmare horror, supernatural crime thriller, or hospital-centered love story. It falls flat as all three, and doesn't really have anything to say in the end.

I'm amazed how many non-sensical things there are in this movie... and the romance (the main driving point for everything happening) is just so out there it didn't help at all. Despite all that, it at least tried not to be as generic.
