This movie has beautiful scenery. It takes all the really dumb, emo bits from Romeo & Juliet and makes a two hour teen movie about poor life decisions about them. I will concede that this film is a winner for all fans of shirtless dudes with rippling abs though.
I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a comedy or...? Either way it's hilarious.
I thought vampires were meant to be interesting?!
Holy Shit, this movie deserves at least one bonus star for every mention of "face punch". Plus I just really like Bella - I know she's supposed to be depressed in this but she barely seemed different from her normal absolutely-chill-with-whatever mood ("Jacob who?" - "Jacob's kinda a werewolf."). I wish I was that effortlessly cool. And despite the fact that I really like Sookie Stackhouse, if we accept the fact that this is fundamentally a romance story, Bella seems like a much more reasonable person, especially for her "okay, I guess this is my life now" attitude and the fact one of her first thoughts is "dude should probably turn me as soon as possible." And is it just me or does this movie actually benefit from the fact that Edward is barely in it? It seems to me Steward has much better chemistry with Lautner than Patterson.
I thought the first film was cringy but this was seriously something else entirely the dialogue was 10x more bad I literally didn’t know what the hell was going on most of the time but saying that I still managed to find it watchable and for some strange reason find it interesting to watch. The plot was basically non existent and the film does suffer because of it ,it’s only purpose was to push the love triangle forward besides that hardly anything happened in the entire film. Bella was kind of being an idiot like her decision making is questionable all just to see glimpses of Edward found them parts quite too ridiculous and annoying. The part where Bella is at the cinema with Jacob and Mike was funny FairPlay to her she has four guys chasing after her the scene with Jacob and Mike was just so random and out of nowhere I get that Jacob was slowly turning into a werewolf but the writing once again didn’t help explain this scene funny to watch though. I was team Jacob when I was younger mostly because of how Buff he is my god he was absolutely ripped and I personally feel he’s got more chemistry with Bella than she does with Edward but I do Respect Robert Patterson and he’s for sure the better actor. The best part of the film is seeing the Volturi for the first time they do look like vampire kind of creepy Michael Sheen was great choice to play Aro and it’s crazy to see Jamie Campbell here he looks so different I of course just see him as Vecna now. I’ve always loved the scenery and locations for twilight they just go with the film really well. I’ve mostly put negatives here because there’s just not much to it but it’s not a terrible movie I wouldn’t say just basic as you can get and it’s still fun to watch because the dialogue is just so over the top and dramatic. 6/10. And that cliffhanger omg what is she going to say?!!! I NEED TO KNOW NOW.
