From an atheist point of view, the creepyness level is over 9000...
Indoctrination at its finest, quite disturbing in some ways.
Horrifying. And I grew up in a world similar to this. I understand and sympathize with my parents feeling pressured to indoctrinate and "save" their children... Still, I am horrified.
The pacing is slow but the topic is too important to ignore this doc. Just prepare yourself for some scary scary shit.
The documentary has deeply disturbing content, full of alienation, leaving children feeling religiously brainwashed. It is impressive to see how religious fanaticism can turn these children into propagators of hatred and prisoners of a distorted view of reality. Throughout the film, various distortions are exposed, where fundamental teachings are ignored in favor of a doctrine that creates a vision completely disconnected from the real world. The documentary's editing further intensifies this feeling of discomfort by showing absurd and embarrassing scenes, which seem to be a veritable collective delirium. Everything is presented in an impactful, frenetic and frightening way.
