While the parallels to High Fidelity are obvious, this film pales in comparison to that movie. This film felt more like a vehicle for the female actors to be able to stretch out inside of a role than anything else. Yes, the commentary on relationships and the protagonist is important. But having to hear the same version of the same story five times? C'mon. "There is a difference between produce manager and store manager." This movie shows apologies to be of little value. The scenes were painful torture. They represented things that would only happen in a script. To me it showed the power of attractiveness to keep people watching a movie. There was no reason to keep watching, but I wanted to see Adam Brody more. My rating is mainly because he was cute. If you don't like him, I don't know how you are going to stand this movie. One could say the last shot of the movie was really offensive, since it seemed to contradict all the things he said in the movie, his apologies...
