one of the best movies of my childhood

"Robot Jox" is cheap. The sets, acting and dialogue are so corny that it's impossible to get past. The opening credit shots, showing a cold wasteland filled with mechanical waste of bygone battles, was intriguing. Sadly, it may be the one of the best things about the movie. The stop motion effects are entertaining and the robot creations inventive, but when the final battle is hand-to-hand combat between two humans, it speaks volumes to how bad this movie actually is. Window (robot) dressing aside, it's got nothing else going for it.
