Clearly meant to be beautiful oneiric stuff. But I don't know, it probably is influenced by your mood and the viewing condition, but to me it never really **felt** oneiric. It just looked like a movie that tries really hard to be. Most of it just feels forced. It has got all the clichés: music, lighting and shadows, weird things, people speaking poetic nonsense in near ASMR mode. And the Italian. Being in Italian really helps, it would have completely failed if it was in English. It's kinda weird how she "disappeared" in that moment. He's looking for her, did he even know she died ? Did she just die here on the spot ? Or did she flee after that night knowing she was dying ? The devil, well, the boss, but it looks l like he's just some kind of lower middle management, not THE devil, is a half missed shot. The fact that it's just an empty vest, that looks suspiciously like his own shirt, is not that bad an idea. But it's also visually lazy. There are some animation parts, and sometimes (not really often), the transition between real images and animation is really blurry. Those are real good. Maybe visually the movie should have more focused on these.
