I seriously have no idea what I'm looking at right now. I'm from NC and this movie is driving me nuts...but I'm committed so I have to finish it ugh!
American life in North Carolina.
This film appeared on several "best indie lists", not to mention getting four stars from Roger Ebert (ugh I miss him). This is the perfect film to get a measure on what kind of movie appreciator you might be. This is not a film where you can give someone a recap about what the movie is about. Every second of the film has to be watched to be appreciated. It is sooooo subtle. I can't improve upon Ebert's review - I suggest you seek it out. The film VERY much reminded me of one of my favorite Woody Allen movies - Interiors. The scenes showing empty rooms spoke volumes. I think the best part of the film is how
how non-judgmental the characters are of each other. Also, the ending is brilliant - nobody saved anyone else and nobody saw the light. Instead there was a deeper understanding and the hope for a better future.
follow me at https://IHateBadMovies.com and facebook page IHateBadMovies
A movie that really is just about life. All the performances are great, movie just feels real like your actually watching the events transpire dosen't even feel like your watching a movie which is a huge compliment to any movie.
