Still far too relevant today. A deconstruction of the idea that the police and judges are infallible protectors, unbiased and fair. Out of pride and spite, they hold onto the first and easiest possibility, no matter the holes, no matter the cost. And it exposes this through no voiceover. It lays out the evidence and the testimonies in such a clear way, juxtaposing them against each other, that makes the conclusion clear for the audience to grab. It’s truthful but proudly non objective, seeing an injustice and looking to illuminate the truth. It’s earned its reputation as one of the best and most important documentaries in the medium.
