10/10. Can't believe I actually watched a PROPER movie from beginning to end!! For a while I thought Hollywood wrecked it and i'd never see the type of movie I grew up with, so this definitely caught me off guard. I'm happy to see other foreign studios taking charge while Hollywood crumbles. This is an action packed, testosterone fuelled ride that leaves all the Hollywood progressive woke nonsense by the wayside and delivers a cracking over the top action movie. No marvel quips here, just plain old action, with GREAT choreography, soundtrack and cinematography. Absolutely fantastic. Oh, and Jackie Chan is still the champ.
Old school surveillance, traditionally skillful fighting.
A thrilling action-packed movie that showcases the enduring talents of Jackie Chan(A legend still kicking strong) and Tony Leung Ka-fai. Even in their 70s, these legends deliver powerful performances. The film's main highlight is the intense fight scene between Tony and Jackie-a stellar,heart-pounding moment that captivates from start to finish.
Welcome back Jackie Chan to his classic film making style. The director and writer, Larry Yang, was smart to combined his drama style with Jackie Chan's stunt team directing the action scenes. It wasn't written in the credit, but the ending scenes confirmed it. Acting wise, Tony Leung Ka Fai showed why he has 138 films and series to his name. His dramtic portrayal of the villain was brilliant. The young actors and actresses also showcased their best with Tony Leung around. 1 notable performance for Ci Sha, the actor who played the latest Guo Cing, who wasn't afraid to take villain role after a very heroic role. The flow of the film was surprisingly smooth for a 2 hour 21 minute film. The story line unfolded with good timing, keeping my attention to the film. This is one of the best film produced in Hong Kong recently, satisfying old fans with young fans of film and entertainment. Highly recommended
As a Jackie Chan movie, it’s acceptable, while the storytelling technique is just mediocre and the rhythm is a bit slow. But I still can say it worth watching after all in 2025 summer season, there were no box office hit for non-fans movie watchers.
