In trying to be daring and controversial, it deserves at least a B for effort. Sadly, the finished film sits uncomfortably between satire and comedy, and loses a grade because of it.

I feel like this film had a bit of an identity crisis. It has the right formula and a strong cast but it doesn't stick the landing. I think it wanted to be a smart, challenging film with tricky themes with a cruel intentions style lead but it just ends up falling flat on all counts. The twists felt deflated and Kimberly wasn't even a likable sociopath. A real shame.
