This script had to do a lot of heavy lifting to condense the better part of Frida Kahlo's life into only a two hour runtime, but it managed to get it done with only minor liberties from the actual history. Fabulous use of on-screen art and animation compete with an all star cast for which is more amazing. I honestly think this was Salma Hayek's best role to date.

Intenso e colorato, come la sua arte, il film racconta episodi importanti della vita di questa straordinaria persona e artista. A chi non conosce il suo percorso di vita risulta anche informativo e coinvolgente, e per chi la sua storia la conosce bene, è già sufficiente godere la bravura degli interpreti, la musica e l'ambientazione, il ritmo dolce e forte allo stesso tempo... proprio come lei. Salma Hayek immensa in questo ruolo e anche gli altri protagonisti non da meno.
