Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha embark on _The Christmas Quest_ in this rather cheap Hallmark adventure. The story follows an archaeologist who teams up with her ex-husband to find the mythic treasure of the Yule Lads. Chabert and Polaha both give solid performances and have good chemistry together, but the script is rather weak. The challenges and clues that they have to figure out are pretty generic and simple, and don’t live up to this legendary treasure. And the low budget starts to show in the limited cast and locations. Yet despite its problems, _The Christmas Quest_ is entertaining and has a bit of adventure to it.

I really enjoyed that this was set in Iceland - it looks like they even filmed there. Loved learning about a new culture and the two leads worked well together. And the Treasure Hunt and Clues was fun .
