This was a solid post-apocalyptic survival movie. It started off with a bang, but compared to the high-octane opening, the rest of the story felt a bit subdued.

It's well done, using all the classics of its genre and pretty well. But that's it. If you've never seen a post-apocalyptic survival movie (is it still even possible these days ?), or are a rabid fan of the genre, that's a good one. Otherwise there is not a single idea, I'd say maybe not even a single scene you have not already seen ten times in other works.

Not a bad movie just draggy. It did not have to be 1hr 52 mins long.

The movie is a zombie movie without the zombies but with the ravaging human gangs with bad intentions that are ever so popular in other zombie movies and TV series. Frankly, you should avoid thinking too hard about the post apocalyptic situation and the reasons why it is so, because without thinking too much, it does not make much sense. For the rest, it is a decent action horror thriller that is solidly made and with good performances by the cast. What weights on the movie is the writing that makes the characters behave illogically and frankly stupid in many situations. For fans of the genre.

saw this at the Overlook Film Festival in April 2025. I enjoyed it, but overall I found it lacking. it was well made and didn't have any serious problems (which is more than can be said of a lot of films, especially in the post-apocalyptic survival genre), but I didn't feel like it brought anything new to the table. complete rehash of stories already told.
